At the start of our budding client-designer relationship, there may be several questions you’ll have. My goal is to help you be confident and knowledgeable with design terms and processes to make this journey for you a success. Our work together will say a lot about you, and we want the world to see your truest and purest self.
- What is the turnaround like?
- Are you able to chat on the phone or meet in-person?
- What is Sola’s typical design process like?
- What final project files do you include?
- Can you create a custom design package for me?
- Can Sola design additional works for me?
- May I pay in installments? How do I pay?
- Do you offer web design?
- Can I work with Sola if I already have a logo (or other project)?
What is the turnaround like?
For full-fleshed logos – without a style guide and only two to three revisions advised by the client – I usually estimate two to four weeks. If we have high availability, we might be able to pump out a quality logo you’ll love in a week’s time, but there is an upcharge for a rush delivery. However, this is not commonly the case. A great logo design takes time and several iterations.
For other design services, the turnaround depends based on the project’s needs, number of revisions, and scale (personal to commercial). If you are sure of what needs to be done, or you’re flexible in giving Sola creative freedom, projects may take a few business days. It’s a case-by-case basis.
Are you able to chat on the phone or meet in-person?
Yes, of course! Just call (919) 909 7781. For a few minutes, I may answer any of your general questions.
If you have more in-depth questions and may need more than, say, 10 minutes, this is a Consultation. It will be included in your project’s billing and is necessary time spent together in order to understand our direction and desires.
Please feel free to call at your convenience. For the best chances at reaching me, call during business hours on a weekday. If you’d like to schedule a one-time call or in-person meeting for a Consultation without beginning a project first, or would simply just like to schedule a quick call as well, please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We are available via phone, FaceTime, Zoom, Google Meet, or if you’re local (Raleigh-Durham area), in-person.
What is Sola’s typical design process like?
Please look back later, as this page will be updated. Sorry for any inconvenience.
What final project files do you include?
In all branding/logo jobs, the approved design(s) will be available for download online in a ZIP folder including these file types…
- .EPS and .SVG (vector-based files with limitless scalability)
- .PDF (with Illustrator editing capabilities)
- .JPG in RGB (for web use in three sizes)
- .JPG in CMYK (for print in one size; must request first)
- .PNG (with transparent backgrounds in three sizes)
- Social media profile picture options
All other kinds of creative projects will follow a similar delivery.
If these file types are unfamiliar to you, don’t worry. PDF, JPG, and PNG will get the job done for you most of the time. Check out our File Type Guide here.
You will have our technical support until the end of time if you need something resized. Alternatively, you can adjust your file sizes using software or on www.pixlr.com.
Can you create a custom design package for me?
Yes! All you need to do is ask.
Can Sola design additional works for me?
Of course. We are in business for you. Think of it this way: the more we work together with you on your brand, the more cohesive and unifying your appearance is to the world. And if you’re requesting unrelated projects, the more we can understand you as you become a dear friend.
May I pay in installments?
Typically, no. Please reach out to us if you have any financial concerns. I am understanding!
Do you offer web design?
We do not offer web development, such as coding or managing a content system. We will work with you or a developer regarding a website’s layout design and any appropriate web elements, but not on making a website.
Can I work with Sola if I already have a logo (or other project)?
If you already have a good logo you want to make perfect, or a pre-existing project that we didn’t work on which needs changing, we can certainly work with you. Not a problem.
